76 years in business and I’ve only known them for 34- the recipes have never changed and are consistently delicious! We come here for our favorite treats and cakes. The staff is always very inviting and friendly. As part of the donut trail they will stamp your trail card! It’s a must visit on Central in Middletown. Best pastries, best cookies, cakes and more!
One of the best fresh donut shop I’ve been to locally . Their donuts and pastries are amazing and delicious I probably pick up a dozen at least few times a month for work from them and of course of me sometimes 🙈🥰 they are always so kind and nice to me too which I appreciate so much! A MUST SEE! We were visiting the area (it’s my dad’s favorite bakery) and we got a variety of treats. Open 75 years and still incredible! The owner was behind the counter and greeted us with the warmest smile. Our favorites were the danish, the glazed donuts and the happy face cookies. Make sure to grab a box or two of treats for your next special event!
Bring your appetite for all of the goodies this shop has to offer. We tried the strawberry paczkis, strawberry danish and the cinnamon crumb square. All of the items were delicious leaving us wanting to return for another visit to try more. The service was absolute perfection from the moment we walked in, we felt so welcome. You won’t be disappointed when looking for a sweet treat!

The Donut Trail brought me here for the first time. But the cinnamon square will have me coming back. I’ve never tasted such delicious treats. And the staff was extremely friendly - welcoming me from out of town as if I lived down the block. I would also recommend the ugly…because I understand why they’d be known for that. Come here, you’ll love it.
My family absolutely loves this bakery. We always have amazing and friendly service from the staff. We love the Donuts, fudge squares, cookies, breads, cakes... just about anything. We had our wedding cake from here as well as a couple character cakes for our kids birthday. Will always recommend this place and will support them as long as possible. Scooby-Doo cake was so beautiful but I did not get a picture before my toddler stuck his finger in it 🤣 4/10/2026 UPDATE: Blown away again by a beautiful Snoopy Birthday cake. Went in with my 4yo to pick out a design for his bday. They didn't have the toys needed for one designed he picked but had plenty of edible art images available. They were able to blend the two with only a couple inputs on our end and the result was beautiful. Most importantly our child LOVED IT and it was delicious 😋 as always we have to pick up a couple Donuts whenever we stop in and they are reliably amazing. Thank you Central pastry ❤️
